Managing Counsel

CyberArk is seeking a full-time in-house managing counsel. This person will manage the commercial counsels assigned to our Americas’ business and will lead certain global legal areas of responsibilities. This person will be instrumental in managing CyberArk’s transactions with leading global enterprises, alliance partners and service providers, working with senior management, sales executives and all other departments of our organization. This position will report to CyberArk’s General Counsel and will require some domestic and international travel.

  • Manages a growing team of legal counsels in the US and leads the commercial legal activities, globally, ensuring excellent and timely service to internal and external customers
  • Manages and negotiates customer, strategic partners and technology alliance agreements for software licensing, services and cloud-based solution provisions
  • Manages cross-company legal responsibilities for various global groups and departments
  • Manages the Company’s business-related compliance program
  • Supports the General Counsel in public company corporate matters


Skills and Experience:

  • J.D., licensed to practice in-house in Massachusetts
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including in-house counseling in global software company, preferably cybersecurity
  • Proven experience in commercial IT transactions, including cloud based solutions, and corresponding compliance and regulatory aspects (anti-corruption, trade control, privacy) with international teams
  • Experienced leader, manager, coach and developer of talent with a proven ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve high impact and top performance
  • Top performer with high integrity and a proven ability to function independently while exercising good judgment on when to seek guidance/collaborate with GC on risk tolerance
  • Bright, creative and pragmatic, with excellent judgment in balancing legal risks with business strategy and a proven ability to quickly ramp, learn new areas of law, and independently function in a demanding, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly motivated, energetic individual who thrives in a collaborative and multi-cultural environment
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver outstanding, thoughtful, user-experience focused results in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in cybersecurity regulation, securities law, employment law, mergers and acquisitions an advantage
