Performance Engineer

As a Performance Engineer in CyberArk’s R&D department, you will be focusing on monitoring, analyzing and improving the performance level of our products.
You will design and develop the performance infrastructure, as well as write the tests/scripts and maintain them.
You will organize and maintain performance environments, and provide tools to examine and measure the process efficiency.
In addition, you will also be in a continuous learning process of technology updates and practices in this domain.
Job Description:
• Responsible for maintaining & improving the performance of CyberArk products from the technical perspective, in view of our customers high expectations for availability, reliability, responsiveness, and high performance.
• Build, maintain and improve performance environments – maintain a performance lab
• Identify anomalies & trends in the relevant metrics
• Own the expertise in this domain, keeping up to date with the latest technologies and innovations in the industry. Research and recommend methods, technologies, practices and tools.
• Full time position
• Report to R&D Performance project Manager/Lead

• You will work with other interfaces (e.g. PM, DevOps, QA Mgt, R&D Leads) as part of our ongoing process to increase performance level\knowledge

• Strong ability to share experience with and from others

Required Knowledge in the following areasMandatory:
1. At least 1 year experience in hands-on performance
2. Knowledge in automation languages\scripts (like jMeter, PowerShell, Batch)
3. Operating systems – Windows and Unix
4. Fluent in English, good writing skills

Knowledge in one or more of the following areasAdvantage:
1. Experience in virtualized environments (VMware, ESX)
2. Firewalls, Proxy servers, Sniffers, Packet builders, Network emulators
3. TCP/IP protocol (analyze network traffic, use of network sniffers)
4. Directories, Domain controllers, Exchange servers
5. Web servers, Web applications
6. Authentication methods (RSA SecurID, Smart cards, Tokens, Radius, LDAP)
7. Experience with Agile development process – working in short development iterations, delivering shippable products in each iteration, breaking a large feature to small user stories, and advancing step-by-step with short feedback loops.
