Executives from CyberArk, CyberSheath and Leidos Join Technical Panel to Educate Attendees on the Priority Target for Major Enterprise Assaults – Privileged Accounts

San Diego – MILCOM 2013 – November 15, 2013 – CyberArk, the company securing the heart of the enterprise, today announced that it will host a technical panel focused on privileged-based security breaches and strategies for prevention during MILCOM, the Military Communications Conference, to be held November 18-20, 2013. MILCOM is the premier international conference and exposition for military communications, gathering the leading minds of government, military, industry and academia in an interactive forum to further explore, define and leverage the benefits networks bring to today’s and tomorrow’s challenges. In the technical panel, “Advanced Persistent Threats and their Privileged Pathway,” executives from CyberArk will be joined by security experts from CyberSheath and Leidos to discuss the role of privileged accounts in today’s most advanced cyber threats.

Who: John Worrall, CMO, CyberArk
Ben Campbell, Federal Sales Engineer, CyberArk
Eric Noonan, CEO, CyberSheath Services International (CSI)
Chris Williams, Enterprise Identity and Security, Leidos

What: Technical Panel “Advanced Persistent Threats and their Privileged Pathway”
According to U.S. national intelligence director James Clapper, cyber attacks represent a preeminent threat to U.S. security. A newly released industry report by CyberSheath revealed that the theft, misuse and exploitation of privileged accounts is a key tactic in each phase of an APT attack cycle. These accounts provide wide ranging access to every connected system – making them the most powerful, and potentially damaging, accounts in any organization. Attackers know this, which is why they’ve emerged as the priority target and staging ground for major enterprise assaults, such as the successful cyber-attacks on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, states like South Carolina and the Utah Department of Health. This panel will feature cyber security experts deconstructing the ‘privileged account pathway’ hackers have travelled to perpetrate some of the most devastating attacks in recent years, focusing on why securing these accounts is critical to preventing the next APT.

When: Tuesday, November 19, 2013, 2:30 – 5:00 p.m.

Where: San Diego Convention Center, 111 W. Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101
