CyberArk to Discuss Signatures of Advanced Attacks on Energy Companies at the API Cybersecurity Conference

Attendees to Learn How to Reduce Risks Posed by Unsecured Privileged Accounts and Better Protect Intellectual Property and Critical Infrastructure

Newton, Mass. – November 9, 2015 – CyberArk (NASDAQ: CYBR), the company that protects organizations from cyber attacks that have made their way inside the network perimeter, today announced details of its participation at the 10th Annual American Petroleum Institute (API) Cybersecurity Conference & Expo, taking place November 10-11 in Houston.

CyberArk will present a session with Mandiant, a FireEye company, focused on how the theft and exploitation of privileged accounts and credentials have emerged as the flashpoint for cyber attacks, and how energy companies, including those in the oil and natural gas industry, can mitigate related cyber security risks. CyberArk is a Gold Sponsor of the event and will exhibit at booth #32.

What: Cyber attacks on the energy industry have become more malicious, sophisticated and difficult to detect. Cyber criminals are increasingly targeting oil and natural gas companies to steal intellectual property, sabotage business, and in some cases, disrupt production.

The session, “Combating Increasingly Sophisticated Cyber Attacks: Limiti1ng Lateral Movement and Containing Threats,” will detail how the exploitation of privileged accounts and credentials have emerged as a signature for advanced attacks, and why limiting privileged account exposure is critical to securing against cyber threats.
