Cyber Researcher

Job description:

Research targeted cyber-attacks on organizations worldwide and mitigation techniques, including:

Locate sources and collect information regarding attacks

Analyze how the attacks were performed

Identify and propose relevant mitigation techniques

Work on individual tasks in a team of researchers

Present results both inside the company and to security community and customers

This includes attending and presenting at security events

Participate in shaping Cyber-Ark’s future security offering

Report to security research team leader @ Cyberark Labs


Requirements and Skills:

  • Experience (3+ years) in either:
    • Cybersecurity operations in the Defense sector
    • Red team or penetration testing engagements
    • Computer Emergency/Incident Response Team operations for large organizations (team leader or higher position)
  • Excellent understanding of the various cyber/information security controls, techniques and products
  • Deep understanding of sophisticated attack techniques
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity investigative and forensics techniques and processes
  • Profound knowledge of network security architecture
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • High ability to learn new concepts and technologies and understand them in depth through rapid self-learning
  • Thorough and methodical approach to any task
  • Proactive by nature, internal drive to excellence and improvement
  • Original thought, creativity

Knowledge in one or more of the following areas – An Advantage:

  • Skilled in either network traffic analysis, reverse engineering, vulnerability research
  • Fluent in English, excellent writing skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Great interpersonal relations, team player
