The Production Engineering team is responsible for building, scaling, and operating the cloud platform for CyberArk’s machine identity security products. These systems are trusted by leading global organizations to manage TLS, SSH, and code signing identities securely and reliably.

This is an early-career role focused on working with distributed cloud systems in real production environments. You will partner with experienced engineers to contribute to system reliability, scalability, and performance across a modern cloud platform.

This role requires strong foundational knowledge in distributed systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure, and the ability to apply those fundamentals to real-world production environments.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to the reliability and performance of distributed cloud systems, including diagnosing and resolving production issues with guidance from senior engineers
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Write scripts and automation to reduce manual operational work
• Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Collaborate with development teams to improve observability and system performance
• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting in production environments
• Develop an understanding of system behavior across application, database, and infrastructure layers

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with strong foundational knowledge in systems, networking, and distributed computing
• Strong fundamentals in:
• Linux systems
• Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS)
• Programming (Python, Go, Java, or similar)
• Exposure (academic or internship) to:
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• CI/CD concepts
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and reason through system behavior step-by-step
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a production environment

Nice to Have

• Internship or project experience in DevOps, SRE, or backend systems
• Familiarity with Terraform or other IaC tools
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• Interest in security or identity systems

The salary range for this position is $114,000 – $128,300/year, plus discretionary bonus, which will be based on the employee’s performance and equity. Base pay may also vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits.
