Udi Mokady

Founder & Executive Chairman | Board of Directors

Udi Mokady is Founder and Executive Chairman of CyberArk. As Executive Chair, Mokady takes an active role in ensuring alignment of the company’s long-term Identity Security strategy and mission, and fostering ongoing customer and partner relationships. Mokady most recently served as CEO, a position he held from 2005 through March 2023. Mokady helped establish CyberArk as the global leader in Identity Security and will continue to focus on expanding CyberArk’s global reach and brand awareness.

Mokady took CyberArk public in 2014; CyberArk is regarded as one of the most successful tech IPOs of that year. Based on his strategic vision and deep cybersecurity experience, Mokady is a successful public company leader who was instrumental in driving CyberArk’s business transformation to consistently achieve record growth while accelerating overall market adoption of its Identity Security solutions.

Since founding the company more than 20 years ago, Mokady’s strong relationships with customers and partners have helped inform the company’s vision. CyberArk’s success is based on its foundation in privileged access management, a market Mokady helped create when he co-founded the company in 1999. His experience establishing CyberArk as the market leader in privileged access management, evolving the definition of the market over time and elevating it as a “must have” cybersecurity solution provides a strategic roadmap for similar success in Identity Security. Mokady was instrumental in giving CyberArk a first-mover competitive advantage with acquisitions in areas such as secrets management and access management and driving investments in cloud technologies and an expanded SaaS portfolio.

Mokady was elected Chairman of the Board in 2016. During his tenure at CyberArk, Mokady also served as Chief Operating Officer and primary strategist and visionary – overseeing global expansion, management, execution and corporate development.

Prior to CyberArk, Mokady specialized in legal management and business development for international high-tech companies. He previously served as the general counsel at Tadiran Spectralink, a highly specialized producer of secure wireless communications systems.

Mokady regularly leads keynote addresses at global cybersecurity events and is looked to as a trusted source on emerging industry trends. He received the 2018 Asper Award for Global Entrepreneurship from Brandeis University and a 2024 Boston Globe Tech Power Players Award as a cyber security influencer. He was named the 2014 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Technology Security category in New England. Mokady is a member of the Brandeis International Business School Board of Advisors and joined General Catalyst as a Catalyst Advisor. He was previously a member of the Demisto Board of Directors, prior to its acquisition by Palo Alto Networks in March 2019, as well as the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Cyber Security Advisory Panel.

A veteran of a Military Intelligence unit, Mokady holds a law degree (L.L.B.) from Hebrew University in Jerusalem and a Master of Science Management degree (MSM) from Boston University.
