CyberArk Community Code of Conduct 2025
The CyberArk Community (hereafter referred to as “Community”) is the place to ask questions, seek guidance, and share solutions and best practices with your fellow CyberArk Community Members. CyberArk encourages its community members to learn from each other and share knowledge as we want the Community to be the go-to resource for CyberArk information. To ensure a positive, respectful, and productive environment for everyone, we ask all members to follow a few simple guidelines. Let’s work together to make this a space where everyone can thrive!
Communication Standards for the CyberArk Community
Help Improve the Community Through Participation
- If you have a question in mind, first spend time browsing the discussions and articles available before starting your own discussion. You will have a better chance of meeting others who share your interests, and your replies will be more meaningful.
- Make sure to include as much detail as possible in your initial post! Things to include in every post would be:
- The product(s) you are using and their version(s)
- Environment details such as Operating Systems and hosting specifications
- Specific error message being encountered
- Required use-case for the request
- What troubleshooting steps have you already tried
This will help forum members craft better responses allowing you to get your questions answered even faster!
- Help make the Community a great place for knowledge sharing by working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. Before you post, ask yourself if you are sure your post adds to the conversation, if not, think things over and come back later.
- The topics discussed matter to all of us. Be respectful of the topics, the time it takes to craft a question and the people discussing them, even if you disagree.
- Keep in mind that discussions are publicly accessible. Protect your personal information and sensitive information.
- Help make the Community a better place by sharing your CyberArk expertise. You may have just the right answer that somebody else is looking for, so don’t be shy about adding your insights to the conversation.
- Use the available ‘like’ and ‘best answer’ button to emphasize useful responses on your posts.
- Flag posts and articles which need improvement or are not appropriate.
Think Before Posting
- Reasonable, well thought-out, and detailed posts help other Community members understand what is being asked or explained. When expressing negative views, take a deep breath and review what is being said before posting to ensure the post is both constructive and respectful to others.
- When posting a link please confirm it is not malicious and is valid.
- When posting a question, include all relevant information such as your product, version, and full details of the issue. Providing detailed information helps in getting accurate answers.
- When posting an answer, please include all relevant details, one sentence answers rarely help resolve a question!
- Posts are not previewed or held in a queue. Moderators and site operators take no responsibility for any content posted by Community members.
Post in Relevant Topic
- Posting in relevant forums ensures threads are seen by the Community members that are most interested in the subject. Please review the various forums to ensure you are posting to the best place.
- Make sure to tag your question with the appropriate Topics.
- Moderators will adjust post topics as needed.
See a Problem? Flag It
- Moderators are here to oversee the forum, but they rely on your support! With your help, they can focus on fostering a positive community environment, rather than simply managing issues or enforcing rules
- If you see bad behavior, don’t encourage this behavior by acknowledging it with a reply. Just flag the post or comment using the Flag option in the top right corner of the article. Immediate action will be taken by one of our Community Moderators to correct this.
- In order to keep our Community a place of growth and learning, moderators reserve the right to remove any content and suspend a user account at any time.
Discussing Certification Exam Questions is Not Permitted
- We are aware of several sites purporting to sell “Exam Dumps” or “Practice Exams” for CyberArk Certification exams as well as for many other popular Certification Programs. We want to issue a word of caution about purchasing these products.
- There are no authorized sellers of CyberArk exam preparation materials. Our goal in the creation of a certification program was to create certification exams that test for real world experience. CyberArk products are complex solutions that cannot be mastered in a single training class or by quick exam study. Using materials that “teach to the exam” will not ensure preparedness for a real-world CyberArk Environment. Therefore, CyberArk has not created these kinds of materials nor authorized any third-party vendors to do so.
- We ask you to do your part to maintain the value the certification program provides to our customers, partners, and certified individuals:
- Do not use unauthorized study materials.
- Do not divulge to anyone what you have seen on a CyberArk Certification Exam.
- Do not provide answers to anyone using the CyberArk Community or other public forums to seek inappropriate help preparing for exams or interviews.
- Report to moderators any accounts seeking answers to test or interview questions.
Promotions and Commercial Solicitations are not allowed
- In order to preserve the integrity of the Community, content and activities consisting of advertising, promotion (different to open-source solutions), or solicitation (whether direct or indirect) is not allowed, including:
- Creating, modifying, or posting content regarding your (or your relative’s, close friends, business associates, or employer’s) products or services.
- Creating, modifying, or posting content regarding your competitors’ products or services.
- Creating, modifying, or posting content in exchange for compensation of any kind (including free or discounted products, refunds, or reimbursements) or on behalf of anyone else.
- Offering compensation or requesting compensation (including free or discounted products) in exchange for creating, modifying, or posting content.
- Posting advertisements or solicitations, including URLs with referrer tags or affiliate codes.
Protect your Personal Information
- When posting to CyberArk’s forums please use your best judgment when disclosing information about yourself and your organization
- Moderators try to keep the forum a safe environment to post and may remove any posts that reveal sensitive information such as addresses, phone numbers, names, or other identifying information.
Do not SPAM
- Spam can include, but is not limited to, cross posting the same information in multiple threads across multiple forums, repeated advertisements in several threads, or posts containing less than helpful content (such as “+1”, “first post”, or “grabbing popcorn”). We encourage meaningful conversations on our forums and spam posts are often counter to this goal.
Content Generated by Generative Artificial Intelligence Tools
- The growing rise in AI means that it’s possible to create posts in Community using specific prompts. Although AI can be useful in many ways, posts generated solely using AI (ie not generated then edited by a human) are often off-topic or incorrect. We ask users not to over-rely on AI to generate posts and please do not exclusively use it to create posts. We are a community of people, let’s keep it human!

CyberArk’s Community Management team encourages all active Community Members to refer to these guidelines before asking or answering a question and before flagging a post. This community is truly a user-powered community where quality is stressed over quantity. If we search to validate if our question has been asked or answered, and if we are only posting an answer to provide a solution which truly solves the discussed issue or to provide a valuable point of view to the discussed topic.
For any other issues not covered here we encourage our Community Members to provide us with direct feedback by emailing the CyberArk Community management team [email protected]. CyberArk reserves the right to adjust this code of conduct at any time or act on violations not explicitly listed in this document.
