Calyx secures partnership to bring Cyber-Ark Software to Ireland

September 29, 2009

September 29, 2009 – Calyx Group, the leading managed services provider for all Information & Communications Technology (ICT) requirements in Ireland and the UK today signed an partnership agreement with Cyber-Ark Software to distribute its products across Ireland. Cyber-Ark Software is the UK market leaders in securing and managing privileged accounts and highly sensitive information.

As the privileged Identity Management market thrives due to compliancy demands, Cyber-Ark’s Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Governed File Transfer (GFT) suites can help companies prevent insider fraud, data breaches and failed IT audits by fully automating the process that controls and monitors shared accounts which are often anonymous and typically shared among administrators, developers and contractors.

With the Cyber-Ark digital vault solution users are identified, managed and tracked which enables a company to provide an audit trail and therefore meet the ever growing number of compliancy requirements.

Commenting on the partnership agreement John Ryan, General Manager, Calyx Security said, “Privileged users can be either the unsung heroes or the undiscovered villains within organisations, given their usage and access rights to critical corporate systems. While the Identity and Access Management market is driven primarily by compliance issues, a properly deployed PIM implementation can perform the dual function of helping IT to meet security and compliance demands without adding significantly to the day-to-day tasks. We are very excited about working with Cyber-Ark the market leader in this space and bringing this innovative technology to the Irish Market.”

Mark Fullbrook, Director of UK and Ireland for Cyber-Ark UK said “Cyber-Ark has experienced a massive increase in demand for our Privileged Identity solutions. Partnering with Calyx will help us meet this demand as they have an unfaltering reputation in Ireland for delivering ongoing business efficiency and assurance amongst an impressive list of global brands. With Calyx’s expansive team of highly trained consultants who have experience in application and infrastructure requirements, we look forward to working with them to help companies address the risks associated with shared, privileged accounts and keeping sensitive data safe at all times.”

Cyber-Ark’s technology is already used to secure the most valuable assets of some of the largest military, banking, manufacturing, airline and governmental enterprises in the world. Companies such as Voca, AstraZeneca, Roche, Motorola, Orange, Mizuho Bank, Rabobank, Belgacom and, Standard Bank have long been “digital vaulting” advocates using the “Vaulting Solution” as a “safe haven” within their enterprises for all critical information assets to be archived, transferred and shared.

Mark Fullbrook will present at the upcoming Calyx Security seminar which takes place on Thursday 15th October in the Westbury Hotel, Dublin. The half day security seminar is entitled “IT Security and the Recession – Improving IT Security in a tough economic climate” and will see a wide range of presentations delivered by IT experts and consultants who will focus around the key areas that Calyx Security believe are the most pressing areas of concern for IT Managers today.
