CyberArk’s Annual U.S. Customer Event Addresses Security Accountability and Transparency in the Extended Enterprise

November 18, 2010

NEWTON, Mass. — November 18, 2010 — Cyber-Ark® Software, the leading global software provider for protecting critical applications, identities and information, today announced highlights from its Fourth Annual U.S. Customer Event. With attendance nearly doubling compared to last year, the event featured leading enterprises discussing how they’re leveraging Cyber-Ark’s Privileged Identity Management and Governed File Transfer solutions to solve critical security and compliance challenges, including closing the privileged vulnerabilities in virtualized and cloud computing environments.

In addition to an expanded number of customer presentations and technical break-out sessions, the two-day event featured a keynote presentation from Earl Perkins, research vice president in the security and privacy team at Gartner, Inc. Perkins focused his session on the importance of achieving enterprise security intelligence and better decision making. He addressed a range of topics associated with Privileged Account Activity Management, security in the cloud and the future of information security.

“We’re appreciative that so many of our customers could join us this year at our annual conference. This event is always an energizing experience for us – and with the increased awareness around just how pervasive privileged vulnerabilities are in the extended enterprise, there was a greater seriousness of purpose to this year’s event,” said Udi Mokady, CEO, Cyber-Ark Software. “Regardless of the attack vector, whether an Advanced Persistent Threat or a malicious insider, our customers understand that the targets are usually the same – the privileged accounts and credentials that give wide access to information and systems in the enterprise. We’re extremely pleased that so many of our customers were willing to share their best practices for mitigating these risks and protecting against emerging threats while achieving compliance and modernizing their IT infrastructure.”

Commitment to Customer Success and Product Innovation in Action
One of the highlights of the event was a customer panel featuring participants from multiple industries, including banking, publishing, retail and energy, who focused on privileged identity management “inside, outside and in the cloud.” Other sessions provided insight into what’s on the horizon for privileged identity management technology, best practices for eliminating hard-coded credentials and new fronts in governed file transfer. Attendees also benefited from hands-on labs and demos of the recently announced On-Demand Privileges Manager™ and Secure Email Manager.

Feedback shared by Cyber-Ark customers participating in the event highlighted the company’s commitment to customer service excellence and reflected excitement about its product roadmap and innovative solutions that continue to deliver real solutions to current security and audit challenges being experienced within their organizations. One financial services company said, “Cyber-Ark is a great company to deal with. From your future road map it is clear you listen to the customer.” Another company in the financial services industry added, “Of all the companies we work with, Cyber-Ark has the best support and customer service, hands down.”

Additional comments included one from a customer in the healthcare field who said, “Cyber-Ark is a customer-focused, industry-leading, international company supplying unique security solutions with outstanding value and personal support.” An insurance company using the Governed File Transfer Suite commented, “We have used Cyber-Ark to build a secure and auditable method to share information with our partners,” and added that Cyber-Ark solutions “make my job easier.” In conclusion, a large packaged foods company praised Cyber-Ark for offering “an awesome tool that provides functionality and management simplicity that any company can use.”
