The CyberArk PAM Self-Hosted V14.4 release most notably enables total cost of ownership reductions and enriched user experience. It does so by enabling optional integration between the CyberArk PAM Self-Hosted vault and CyberArk SaaS offerings, such as the CyberArk Connector Management (CM) and CyberArk Secure Infrastructure Access (SIA) services. CyberArk remains committed to our self-hosted customers and will continue to introduce, support and improve self-hosted features. It is important to note that integrating with SaaS features requires applicable subscription licensing and a platform tenant.
Some of the top features and updates in 14.4 include:
PAM Self-Hosted Integration with Secure Infrastructure Access (SIA)
Customers can now integrate their PAM self-hosted solution with SIA for session management to provide secure, VPN-less, native access to Windows, Linux and database targets through either vaulted credentials or zero-standing privileges (ZSP). Secure Infrastructure Access offers up to a ~16x reduced TCO for on-prem footprint of session management, decreased PAM admin overhead, and easier end-user adoption by offering additional connection options through a native user experience, such as connections through database clients.
Connector Management Integration with Privileged Session Manager (PSM) for Auto-Upgrade
With V14.4 customers can now integrate the Connector Management (CM) service for automatic installation and upgrades of PSM servers. This feature allows for the centralized management of PSM servers, ensuring a streamlined and smooth installation and upgrades.
Advanced UI Customization and Dark Mode
The most voted Enhancement Request (ER) in CyberArk’s systems allows users to activate dark mode, customize the look and feel of CyberArk Password Vault Web Access (PVWA) and create themes, choose a font, text color, change the logo and much more to align with corporate branding.
Enhanced Accounts Search
V14.4 provides improved account search capabilities allowing users to quickly search in the PVWA interface or via REST API with two options:
- Basic search by filtering with common properties such as the username, platform and location or adding custom properties to further refine.
- Advanced searching capabilities with the all-new smart query allowing users to search based on properties in the vault. Advanced search creates an intuitive experience, supporting logical operators, operands and more.
CyberArk V14.4 is packed with brand new features, enhancements and updates. For a full look at what is included in the release, see the “What’s New” section in our documentation. CyberArk is committed to supporting our Self-Hosted customers and asks that you continue to submit Enhancement Requests.
