Hybrid and multi-cloud adoption became mainstream among organizations looking for flexibility and resilience, and they shaped cloud security strategies at a high percentage of organizations. Some key takeaways from the report:

  • Proactive monitoring is the most important security consideration when choosing or working with a cloud vendor.
  • Respondents identified phishing as the biggest risk to their assets in the cloud.
  • Many reported using between two and four security tools to address cloud security threats, and more than one-quarter used five or more.
  • AI-enabled cloud security tools are best for threat detection.
  • Budgetary constraints continue to be a significant roadblock to cloud security.
