An APT Win for CyberArk – a Win for Privileged Account Security

May 1, 2014 CyberArk

We’re very excited to announce that CyberArk’s CyberArk Privileged Account Security solution was named the Best Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Protection at the recent SC Awards Europe 2014. The CyberArk solution also took second place and was ‘highly commended’ in the identity management category.

This is a big win for CyberArk, and one we’re very proud of.  First – it’s a testament to the hard work of our overall team.  Our team is dedicated to working with customers to continually develop innovative solutions to their security problems – this award is a demonstration of that.

Secondly – and most importantly for the industry – the award is recognition of the devastating impact that stolen and exploited privileged credentials can have on a company.  It’s also recognition of the fact that privileged accounts are a significant priority in all advanced attacks. Hackers understand that privileged accounts are the keys to a company’s infrastructure.  By exploiting these access points, hackers can turn a company’s infrastructure against itself.

Recognition of this threat is the first step in thwarting it. We’re very pleased with SC Magazine’s recognition of the privileged connection in advanced threats.
